Neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis 6 (NCL) in dogs is caused by a mutation in the CLN6 gene which is associated with early-onset, progressive disease that results in blindness and premature death.
Clinical features
Decreased vision progressing to complete blindness. Progressive neurological symptoms which have been observed are anxiety, circling behavior and loss of coordination.
