General Information
Dwarfism is a form of abnormal development in size and stature. Chondrodysplastic dwarfism can be caused by mutations in the aggrecan (ACAN) gene, which is inherited in a recessive manner. This gene is essential for the proper functioning of articular cartilage.
This test covers all possible tests available in our webshop: ACAN D1, D2, D3*, D4, and D5. D5 was published in a thesis by John Edmund Eberth from the University of Kentucky. The information from this test will be periodically reviewed for validity.
