Is a sample collected with a buccal swab as reliable as a blood sample?

DNA obtained from a buccal swab is just as reliable as the DNA that is obtained from a blood sample. Sometimes a sample does not meet our quality requirements and therefore it is not possible to extract enough DNA from the sample. In that case, we always request you to submit a new sample.
